PALM SPRINGS | OUT Traveler's Get Back OUT There with Will and James Episode 1

Palm Springs is an inclusive oasis for the LGBTQIA+ community making it the perfect location for our first stop as we “Get Back OUT There!” No matter what reason you end up visiting the city, you can find activities, food, shopping, and nightlife that are all bound to show you a great time. During our getaway to #PalmSprings, we were able to enjoy an afternoon at the lively and colorful hotel known as The Saguaro - “where everyone’s welcome, and all are celebrated”. We spent a lot of time enjoying Froze by the pool and soaking up the desert sun while lounging in their hammocks. If you’re looking for an outdoor activity to enjoy while visiting Palm Springs, we highly recommend checking out Bike Palm Springs Rentals & Tours. From celebrity homes to stunning scenery, it’s a perfect way to explore the surrounding neighborhoods and visit historic landmarks. We also appreciate how they continue to take the necessary precautions to keep all their visitors safe during the pandemic. Https://bikepsrentals.com It was an honor and privilege meeting with the Mayor Pro Tem of Palm Springs, Lisa Middleton, to learn more about what the city is doing to keep its citizens safe throughout the pandemic. We were able to snap a photo with her at the artistic PS I Love You Sign located at 100 W Tahquitz Canyon Way. Palm Springs is filled with incredible shopping opportunities and LGBTQIA+ owned businesses, like the lifestyle boutique Queertique which opened mid-pandemic. After meeting with the owner, Kevin Kauer, we learned how this store supports and celebrates independent queer artists and designers. Before leaving, we had to capture a picture in their photo op dressing room that has its very own disco ball for flare! https://queertique.com One thing is for certain in Palm Springs and that is the food options are endless. We absolutely loved the variety of restaurants we were able to experience from enjoying tall glass of cotton candy at Lulu’s California Bistro or spicy margaritas at TRIO, our taste buds were never disappointed. Thank you to @Visitgreaterpalmsprings for helping make this video possible! Stay tuned for a PALM SPRINGS bonus video on Friday, October 1. https://youtu.be/x1Pp-BgJZlE Produced by Alexander J. LAS VEGAS | OUT Traveler's Get Back OUT There with Will and James Episode 2

From show stopping entertainment and fine dining to energetic nightlife and casinos, the city of Las Vegas has it all. This city has always been a top destination for LGBTQIA+ travelers which is why we were excited to experience Viva Las Vegas as we Get Back OUT There. Forget the saying “What Happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” because we are sharing some of our favorite experiences on and off the Strip. We were excited to visit The Neon Museum - which is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to “collecting, preserving, studying and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for educational, historic, arts and cultural enrichment”. We were fortunate to receive a guided tour from Dawn Merritt, the Chief Marketing Officer of The Neon Museum, where we learned more about signs that directly relate to the LGBTQIA+ community and history in Las Vegas. #neonmuseum #neonboneyard (https://www.youtube.com/neonmuseumlasvegas) We loved meeting with drag performer and superstar, Coco Montrese to learn more about the art form and how performers have been impacted by the pandemic. Coco is currently performing at The Garden Las Vegas as well as Area 15 for their Friday night Draganza show. If you ever visit Vegas, we highly recommend experiencing one of Coco’s shows! https://instagram.com/theonlycocomontrese One of the newer attractions in Las Vegas is known as AREA 15, which is located minutes off the Strip. This space offers live events, immersive attractions, art installations, bars, restaurants and more. We had the privilege of experiencing Wink World: Portals Into the Infinite, which was designed by Blue Man Group Co-Founder, Chris Wink. Afterward we enjoyed two floors of arcade games at Emporium, sipped on crafted cocktails under an LED canopy of a Japanese Maple Tree at the enchanting Oddwood bar and ended our time relishing in the curated flavors of The Beast by Todd English. https://area15.com Located in the heart of the Arts District in downtown is a fresh, new nightlife experience known as The Garden Las Vegas. We had the pleasure of meeting with the owner, Eduardo Cordova to hear more about what it was like to open this intimate, chic LGBTQ lounge bar in the middle of the pandemic. They’re open Thursday-Sunday and offer a different vibe every night. We had a wonderful time enjoying craft cocktails and light bites while watching Drag performers Coco Montrese and Alexis Mateo during our visit. https://thegardenlasvegas.com Stay tuned for a LAS VEGAS bonus video on Friday, October 8. https://youtu.be/rb2FHT30bbw Produced by Alexander J. LAS VEGAS Dinner and a Show | OUT Traveler's Get Back OUT There with Will and James

One of our favorite things to do while visiting a new city is having Date Night and experiencing something new together. What better way to do that in Las Vegas than with dinner and a fabulous show. Supporting LGBTQIA+ owned restaurants is also important to us while traveling which is why we were excited to visit Border Grill at Mandalay Bay, owned by celebrity lesbian chef, Susan Feniger. The menu offers traditional Mexican dishes and some of our favorites were the: Blood Orange Margarita, Street Corn Esquite, Baja Ceviche and Churro Ice Cream Sandwich. After tapping out on tapas it was time to make our way to Caesars Palace to enjoy the provocative and unforgettable show, Absinthe, which was recently named the “#1 greatest show in Las Vegas history” by Las Vegas Weekly. From show stopping entertainment and fine dining to energetic nightlife and casinos, the city of Las Vegas has it all. Forget the saying “What Happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” because we are sharing some of our favorite experiences on and off the Strip. To round out our entire trip, we wanted to see the Vegas Strip from above. Towering 550 feet over The LINQ Promenade is the High Roller, the tallest observation wheel in North America. Although James isn’t the biggest fan of heights, this attraction was absolutely worth it! The views we experienced during the 30-minute rotation, were absolutely breathtaking as the sun set on the horizon and the Strip slowly began to illuminate with twinkling neon lights - talk about romantic! AUSTIN | OUT Traveler's Get Back OUT There with Will and James Episode 3

As your LGBTQ travel guides, we’ll explore the best gay friendly travel destinations. Today, this gay couple is visiting Austin, Texas in today's travel vlog. The city of Austin lives up to the motto “Keep Austin Weird” with it’s live music, warm weather, culinary experiences, unique shopping destinations and abundant outdoor activities. No matter what time of year you make the trip, you are destined to find something you will love on top of a welcoming LGBTQ+ community. Join us as we “Get Back OUT there” and #travel to #Austin, #Texas. Given how warm Texas is, you’ll have a hard time passing up the opportunity to cool down with a few scoops of homemade ice cream. An Austin staple known as Lick Honest Ice Creams is owned by Chad Palmatier and Anthony Sobotik who are not only business partners but also life partners. The ice cream is incredibly unique and boasts memorable flavors from across the great State of Texas including Texas Sheet Cake. https://www.ilikelick.com/ Bunkhouse group’s Austin Motel has been around since the 1930s and has since been updated and redesigned by lesbian hotelier, Liz Lambert. The funky and eclectic space is anything but ordinary. We stayed in one of the poolside king rooms with great views of what’s known to be the deepest hotel pool in Austin. This accommodation is in a prime location to explore South Congress Street which is home to some of the most famous food in Austin as well as incredible shopping opportunities. Add Austin Motel to the top of your list for a future stay so that you can enjoy the pool-side events, fantastic decor and their delicious restaurant located next door called Joann’s Fine Foods. https://austinmotel.com/ The Little Gay Shop opened their doors during the pandemic and filled the gap for a queer-owned and queer-forward shop where locals and tourist could find unique gifts, books, apparel and community within Austin. It’s the perfect space to lose track of time, especially as you look through the vast collection of magazines, books and pictures. Also in the space is Stay While Coffee, a lesbian-owned coffee bar where visitors to the Little Gay Shop can also enjoy a fresh hot or cold brewed coffee. https://thelittlegayshop.com/ https://staywhilecoffee.com/ Stay tuned for the next video in AUSTIN on Friday, October 15. https://youtu.be/6ZrIXurw_Lo For more information on LGBTQIA+ inclusive travel destinations visit OUTTraveler.com - https://outtraveler.com What is OUT Traveler's Get Back OUT There with Will and James? As your LGBTQ travel guides, we’ll explore the best gay friendly travel destinations. The fifth stop as we “Get Back OUT There” is the multicultural city of Houston, Texas! It’s a bustling city full of art, science, food and culture all with a unique Texas flare, providing a little bit of something for every type of traveler. Join us as we “Get Back OUT there” and #travel to #Houston, #Texas. The Royal Sonesta at the Houston Galleria is centrally located for all the major activities you’d want to do while visiting the city. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and provide everything that you could need during your getaway, with amenities like an outdoor pool, business center and on-site fine dining. https://www.sonesta.com/us/texas/houston/royal-sonesta-houston-galleria Located in the heart of East Downtown, referred to as “EaDo,” is an inviting LGBTQ+ owned and family run bakery, called Koffeteria, that “celebrates the flavors of Houston.” Their menu is filled with creative, delicious and seasonal pastries that will be sure to satisfy any foodie. If you’re looking for the perfect place to gather with your travel companions or to reunite with old friends over coffee and a delicious pastry, we recommend visiting Koffeteria on your next trip to Houston! https://www.koffeteria.com/ Houston’s Museum District is home to over 150 museums with focuses spanning from nature, art, science, history and more. It’s a beautiful district of Houston that we really enjoyed walking around. We paid a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts and quickly lost track of time as we explored the wide variety of exhibitions and installations it had to offer. It also has a history of supporting the LGBTQ+ community of Houston as it hosts Houston’s Annual International LGBTQ Film Festival, Q-Fest. https://www.q-fest.com/ We visited Houston at the perfect time because it was PRIDE weekend and ended our time in the Montrose District to take part in the celebratory festivities. Up until 2016, this area of town was home to the oldest gay bar known as The Montrose Mining Company, which operated from 1978 to 2016. It’s now a restaurant called Postino’s Wine Bar, that continues to pay tribute to the gay bars that were previously housed in this space. The LGBTQ+ community of Houston is vibrant and ready to welcome you! https://www.postinowinecafe.com/ Plan your next trip by visiting: https://www.visithoustontexas.com/ Stay tuned for the next video in AUSTIN on Friday, October 22: https://youtu.be/xG0QcrU02vw For more information on LGBTQIA+ inclusive travel destinations visit OUTTraveler.com - https://outtraveler.com What is OUT Traveler's Get Back OUT There with Will and James?
